We spotted a discount in EPCOT today!

Since the International Festival of the Arts ended yesterday, we took a trip to the park today to check out some unique merchandise and try some snacks. And while we were in the China Pavilion’s House of Good Fortune buying wasabi chips, we noticed a discount on our receipt!
Guests who spend $10 at House of Good Fortune qualify for a 20% discount on lunch at Nine Dragons Restaurant. That sounds GREAT, right? But Nine Dragons is closed — its dining room currently serves as additional seating for Lotus Blossom Cafe. So why is Disney offering such a sweet deal for a closed restaurant?!

We asked a Cast Member for more information, and she shared that the discount has been offered for a while! She expects it’ll still be offered when Nine Dragons reopens, too. But don’t bother saving up all your House of Good Fortune receipts — this discount is only valid if you visit both locations in the same day.

A few more details to keep in mind for when you CAN take advantage of this offer: the discount excludes alcoholic beverages and gratuity, and it’s not valid for use during Disney blockout dates. Other than that, just present your receipt to your server to snag that 20% off!
