It’s been almost one year since Disney welcomed guests aboard their cruise ships.
When cancelations were first announced last year, guests who were booked for the canceled cruises could opt for a 100% refund or receive a 125% cruise credit for use on a future cruise within 15 months of their original sail date. Disney Cruise Line has since lengthened the window in which the credits could be used as more cruise cancelations were announced (with the most recent extending through April 2021). And, they are extending the use of cruise credits once again.
Those who opted to receive a future cruise credit received an email from the Disney Cruise Line this morning informing them that they will now be able to book a sailing that departs by September 30th, 2022. And we’re able to show it to you thanks to one of our incredible readers! This extension adds an extra four months to the previous May 21, 2022 extension.
If you chose the future cruise credit option, these changes should be updated in your account automatically. If you’re booking through a travel agent, you can reserve an upcoming cruise of your choice with the credits already. And, once you’re sailing, any additional funds (after the reservation is paid in full) will be applied to your account as an onboard credit. Just note that onboard credit is non-refundable so will need to be used during your travel.
