The global health crisis put a LOT on hold in Disney and beyond.
At the beginning of the situation last year, Disney had to suspend its Cultural Representative Program. And transferred Cast Members are filling many of the roles typically held but Cultural Representatives in World Showcase. This program typically brings in individuals from around the world to work as Cast Members. Now, it seems some cultural representatives may return to the park this year.
We noticed that applications are open for certain positions for the Cultural Representative Program on the International Services The Human Source website. Many of the locations listed are owned by the Patina Group who owns several Disney World restaurants including the upcoming Space 220 and many of the dining locations in EPCOT’s Italy Pavilion. Do note that these listings are not on the actual Patina Group website at this time.
Currently, applications are only being accepted from those of Italian nationality who are looking to take place in the Cultural Representative Program for EPCOT’s Italy.
The following positions are listed as available for those of Italian nationality: Kiosk Host or Hostess, Restaurant Host or Hostess, Restaurant Server, and Culinary.
UPDATE: We do want to note that many of these locations have reached out to say that they are NOT hiring at this time. So while applications are open on this site, do take it with a grain of salt.
The hiring notice says, “Our next selection will be held depending on the evolution of the sanitary situation. We will recruit for departures starting from 2021.”
So, could we see the Cultural Representative Program return to EPCOT this year? We sure hope so! As always, stay tuned to DFB for the latest updates from Disney World and beyond.
