We got some pretty big news yesterday and we’re still fleshing out the situation. It was announced yesterday that Disneyland’s Annual Passholder program will be discontinued. While this news was pretty straightforward for those with only Disneyland Annual Passholders, the info was a bit confusing for those holding a Premier Passport.
That’s right, this new change will also have an effect on the Premier Passport — the offering that works as a joint Annual Pass for both The Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World. Due to this change, Premier Passport holders won’t just be automatically renewed for the Disney World side of their Annual Pass, and if you’re in this situation there are a few steps that you need to take! We’re breaking down what Premier Passport holders need to do to maintain access to the Disney World theme parks.
Premier Passport holders WILL need to take action to keep Disney World theme park entry after March 31st. Until that point, the Premier Passport will still work for Disney World entry and give will give those people all V.I.PASSHOLDER Perks.
After that, Premier Passholders will have to “renew into Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passes through April 30, 2021.” Essentially, you’ll need to call Disney by April 30th to renew into a Walt Disney World-only Annual Pass. If you don’t you will lose the Disney World side of your pass as well.
At this time, Disney World Annual Passes are unavailable except for special renewal circumstances — such as for Premier Passholders affected by the discontinuation. Those renewing should receive the 15% off renewal rate.
To renew into a Walt Disney World Annual Pass and for any other questions, you can call V.I.PASSHOLDER support at (407) 939-7277.
As a reminder, the Premier Passport has been discontinued alongside the other Annual Passholder offerings for Disneyland. Down the line, a new membership program will be announced. Details on this new membership plan will be shared at a later time.
