Recently Tokyo Disneyland opened a whole bunch of new rides, shops, and restaurants as part of the expansion of its Fantasyland, including The Happy Ride with Baymax, a Beauty and the Beast attraction with some seriously incredible animatronics and special effects, and more!

But, the resort has also seen some other changes recently due to an increase in COVID-19 cases in Japan. Japan recently set a travel ban on non-resident foreign travelers coming into the country, Tokyo Disney Resort reduced its hours, nightly fireworks at the resort were suspended, and park ticket sales have been temporarily suspended. Now, another change is coming to the resort as several restaurants are set to temporarily close.
According to the Tokyo Disney Resort website, a number of restaurants are set to close from January 12th through February 7th, 2021. At Tokyo Disneyland, the restaurants include:
- Ice Cream Cones
- Cafe Orleans
- Captain Hook’s Galley
- The Gazebo
- The Diamond Horseshoe
- Sweetheart Cafe
- Dinghy Drinks
- Village Pastry
- Camp Woodchuck Kitchen
- The Popping Pod
- Pop-A-Lot Popcorn
- Cowboy Cookhouse
- Polynesian Terrace Restaurant (Lunch)
Additionally, Plazma Ray’s Diner is set to close from January 18th through January 24th, 2021; and Pan Galactic Pizza Port is set to close from January 12th through January 17th, and again from January 25th to February 7th.

Tokyo Disney Resort
At Tokyo DisneySea, the following restaurants are set to be closed from January 12th through February 7th:
- Sultan’s Oasis
- Seaside Snacks
- Delancey Catering
- New York Deli
- Nautilus Galley
- Barnacle Bill’s
- Mamma Biscotti’s Bakery
- Refrescos
- Refreshment Station
- Hudson River Harvest
- Restaurant Sakura (Terrace seats)
- Bayside Takeout

Tokyo Disney Resort
There are also some changes set to come to Tokyo Disney Resort regarding the service for alcoholic beverages and the operating hours for restaurants at Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. You can check out the Tokyo Disney Resort website for full details.

At the moment, although ticket sales have been suspended, the parks remain open for those who already had purchased their passes. We’ll keep an eye out for more updates from Tokyo Disney Resort, particularly as the situation with COVID-19 develops and changes, and let you know what we find.
