One of the most unique food booths we’ve seen at an EPCOT Festival is The Deconstructed Dish!
After being introduced in 2018, this booth is best known for deconstructing fan-favorite dishes! When this was announced as returning to the festival this year, we knew we had to try ALL of the eats they have to offer.
Menu
Last year, The Deconstructed Dish offered deconstructed versions of a BLT, a Reuben, and strawberry cheesecake, and this year the menu looks very similar! Each item has had some changes and tweaks, however!
Let’s dive in!
Food
We decided to grab the Deconstructed Reuben again which is rye popover, corned beef, gryuère panna cotta and brined brussels sprouts with Broken thousand island dressing.

While this was on the menu last year, there have been a few updates! The rye popover replaced the rye-crusted sauerkraut and the panna cotta and brussels sprouts replaced the Jarlsberg cake from last time. You can grab this dish for $6.75.
The Reuben looks a lot different this year, but we really liked it! It’s such a fun and unique take on the classic Reuben sandwich. There was A LOT of corn beef meat so it was absolutely satisfying. We also loved that it came with a pickle and a side of Brussels sprouts in substitution of cabbage.
We weren’t huge fans of the rye popover which tasted like it wasn’t completely cooked through. It could have been better with more baking time. The gruyere cheese tasted fine but it had a strange texture. It felt like a firm mousse and it didn’t add anything too special to the dish. The thousand island dressing was fun, tasty, and paired well with the copious amount of meat!
Next up on the menu, we grabbed the Deconstructed BLT which has made it to our Best of the Fest list in the past. This dish totally elevates your classic bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich. It’s made of Crispy Pork Belly, Soft-poached Egg, Brioche, Watercress Espuma, and Tomato Jam for $7. For this dish, the original ingredients have remained. The watercress espuma and brioche have been added since we last tried this!
The Deconstructed BLT is one of our FAVORITE dishes at this year’s festival! The pork was incredibly tender, juicy, with a good amount of fat. We love that melt-in-your-mouth pork fat! The tomato jam worked great and was a good balance of sweet and savory.
We loved the experience of breaking open the well-seasoned poached egg and dipping our crispy toast point in the yolk. We wished we had more toast for dipping, in fact!
This booth offers sweet and savory deconstructed items, so of course, we had to try the dessert option! The Deconstructed Strawberry Cheesecake is Whipped New York-style Cheesecake with Fresh Florida Strawberries and Sugar Cookies. The dessert is $6.25.
We’re 3/3 on the food menu at Deconstructed Dishes! The strawberry cheesecake was also a huge winner for us. The small sugar cookies were delicate with just the right amount of sweetness. The whipped cheesecake was exactly as advertised. It was light, fluffy, and not overpowering with sugary sweet flavors. We loved tossing the sweetened strawberries on top for a little citrus. So so good!
As a hidden bonus, the strawberry sauce is made with edible glitter! Making this dish pretty and delicious!
Boba has become a big trend in the last few years, so it’s no surprise that there is a boba drink at the festival! Returning from last year, the Rainboba drink is made of Fruit Bursting Boba with Sparkling Water. This non-alcoholic drink is $8.
We were very happy with our food items but the drink was a little lackluster. It basically tasted like we imagined. It was flavored sparkling water with a few popping boba balls. The boba balls will turn your drink different colors, which is kinda fun! Of course, the BEST part about this drink is that you get a Figment cup with your purchase! Kids might really like this colored fizzy drink!

Returning this year is the Deconstructed Breakfast as well. This is a Twinnings of London Chai Tea Shake made with maple syrup and garnished with waffle crisp and candied bacon. The shake is $4 and you can get it spiked with cream bourbon for $11.
This one really is breakfast in a cup! The non-alcoholic version is sweeter with strong tastes of apple and cinnamon. We love the additional bourbon for the extra boozy breakfast taste. It’s a cozy shake for Florida’s cooler months.
The eats here have and still are super unique and fun for guests at the festival! The booth is located in Showcase Plaza in EPCOT, so be sure to head over if any of these dishes sound great to you! Stay tuned to DFB throughout the day, because we’ll be reviewing the entire Festival of the Arts.
