It’s true: Walt Disney World is no longer providing complimentary MagicBands for Resort guests. This change, which was announced last summer, officially kicked in as we began the New Year.
New MagicBands spotted in Animal Kingdom
But that’s doesn’t mean MagicBands aren’t still a thing, as evidenced by the abundance available for purchase around Disney World merchandise locations (and still available for pre-order at a discounted rate for Resort guests). In fact, a stop by Mickey’s of Hollywood in Disney’s Hollywood Studios today revealed a new color choice! Although this one might look a wee bit familiar, so you’ll want to look closely…
We must admit, we did a bit of a double-take when we found the new pale Yellow MagicBand.
NEW Yellow MagicBand
That’s because a NEON Yellow MagicBand hit the scene in June, and they clearly look similar. But, when you put them side-by-side, they are indeed different!

So, if the neon trend never really was your thing, but yellow totally IS, you’ve now got a new option to enjoy when it comes to MagicBands!
The new Yellow MagicBand is $14.99. While we found it in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you can check locations like EPCOT’s Mouse Gear, Magic Kingdom’s Emporium, and World of Disney in Disney Springs if you’re on the search for a new MagicBand that’s just your style!
