EPCOT has SEVERAL spots that we consider hidden gems.
La Cava del Tequila
Perhaps one of our favorites is La Cava del Tequila in the Mexico Pavilion. This spot is known for some surprising and delicious margaritas like the Tomato Margarita or the El Diablo. Now, we’re trying a back-to-the-basics drink — with a twist!
La Cava del Tequila has introduced their very own version of an Old Fashioned! YES, this classic, typically-Bourbon-based cocktail has joined the lineup at our favorite tequila cave.
Old Fashioned
But it might have a few surprises flavor-wise. Instead of the typical Bourbon, sugar, and bitters; La Cava’s version is made with Casa Noble reposado tequila, Santa Teresa rum, Glenmorangie Scotch, Knob Creek bourbon, and Nixta elote liqueur served with Cardamom bitters, a big ice cube, and a Luxardo maraschino cherry.
Old Fashioned
And WOW, what a sip it is! La Cava has delivered once again with a drink that is very strong but surprisingly smooth. It’s blended well and we loved the vibe of the plastic cub, BIG ice cube, and Luxardo cherry! It’s a very nice drink for anyone who loves a good Old Fashioned or tequila; maybe skip it if you’re not looking for something strong though!
