And Lucasfilm is celebrating this milestone the best way it knows how: with commemorative merchandise!

Baby Yoda merchandise isn’t the only time Star Wars products have taken the world by storm. From Luke and Leia action figures to lightsabers, there’s a HUGE market for Star Wars merch, and Lucasfilm will honor that legacy in the new year.

“Consumer products have always been an integral part of the Star Wars fan experience, and they remain a constant force in pop-culture today,” Paul Southern, Lucasfilm senior vice president, Licensing and Franchise, said in a statement. “To commemorate Lucasfilm’s 50 years of storytelling, we look forward to honoring this consumer products legacy and bringing to life brand-new products, games, and publishing offerings that celebrate our future with Lucasfilm’s exciting feature films and Disney+ series ahead.”

While the exact products set to debut have yet to be revealed, it’s going to be a year-long event! The launch starts in January and will continue throughout 2021 with special edition releases. And when we find out when we find out what those products are, we’ll fill you in so you can snatch it up!
