Disneyland celebrated Mickey’s 92nd birthday in a special way!

Yesterday, Disney announced that TWO Disneyland statues have been refurbished and are looking better than ever — and now we’ve seen one of them in person!
The statues are the iconic Partners Statue in a still-closed Disneyland Park and the Storytellers Statue in a JUST-reopened (kind of!) Disney California Adventure. Take a look at it in all its restored glory!

We got to take a close look at this statue during the opening of Buena Vista Street as an extension of Downtown Disney today. The statue was precisely cleaned, polished, and waxed over a number of days to reveal a shiny, good-as-new finish on the bronze.

We love that this iconic piece of art is looking a little bit fresher. After all, it’s a serious piece of Disney history commemorating Walt Disney’s journey with a quote from the man himself, “We are just getting started.”
