News: Disney World Extends Flexible Cancellation Policy Through April 2021 For Hotel Bookings

Lots of hotel news this morning for all of us planning to book a Disney World vacation in early 2021!

We’ve gotten an All Star Movies Resort reopening date and plenty of great discounts for 2021, and now Disney World has extended their flexible cancellation policy for guests traveling well into 2021.

Due to the travel interruptions and safety concerns with the ever-changing status of the global pandemic, Disney World has created a flexible cancellation policy for its guests staying at Disney World resort hotels. This policy waives select Disney-imposed cancellation and modification fees for guests choosing to cancel or change their vacation details past Disney’s standard deadlines.

Today, Disney World’s website was updated with language indicating flexible cancellation options would be extended through April 30th, 2021. (Previously, this option had only extended through the end of 2020.)

Note that these options could change at any time, and how “flexible” the cancellation policy actually is could be updated at Disney’s discretion. So be sure to contact Disney if you’re ready to change or cancel your vacation to see what the current policies and fee waivers look like at that time.
