Last week, Disney announced layoffs that are set to affect thousands of its employees in the Disney Parks, Experiences and Products division of the Walt Disney Company.

The announcement itself came from Josh D’Amaro, the current chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products.
In a letter sent to employees from D’Amaro about the layoffs, he noted that he believes “the heart and soul of [Disney’s] business is and always will be people.” D’Amaro also thanked Cast Members for their “dedication, patience and understanding” and for all that they have done for the company, and explained that the layoffs are “the only feasible option [they] have in light of the prolonged impact of COVID-19 on [Disney’s] business.”

While we haven’t seen or heard much from other Disney executives, days after the announcement, D’Amaro was seen walking around the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort and reportedly speaking with Cast Members directly about the layoffs. We spotted D’Amaro ourselves in Disneyland last week.

But, it seems D’Amaro is not just making the rounds around Disneyland Resort. Today, we spotted him over in EPCOT in Walt Disney World.

D’Amaro was previously the President of Walt Disney World Resort, and served as the President of Disneyland Resort before that, so he’s spent quite a lot of time out in the parks on both coasts over the past few years, and even took some time to celebrate Disney Hollywood Studios’ birthday in a special way a few months ago.
