While Disneyland Resort faces an extended closure, we often pop into Downtown Disney to see if we can spot any new merch and dining updates.

While visiting, we’ll stop by Disneyland’s entrance gates to see if there are any signs of life on the other side. We’ve spotted new physical distancing markers and even a potential new walkway. On our recent visit, we stopped by the gates of Disneyland to see what else is new!

It seems some construction is continuing because we noticed refurbishments happening at the Emporium on Main Street, U.S.A last month. Scaffolding was installed all the way to the top of the building. On our visit today, we noticed the scaffolding had been removed from the Emporium!

We couldn’t quite make out what was updated on the Emporium. It could have been anything from a routine touch-up or just a paint job. Hey, Disneyland is 65 years old! She needs a little TLC every once in a while!

The construction updates and new installations are not confirmations that Disneyland will reopen any time soon. We’ll continue to make our way back to Downtown Disney to note Disneyland’s progress.
