Our Look at EPCOT's 2020 Food and Wine Entertainment…Or Lack There Of.

It’s officially Food and Wine time in Disney World now that EPCOT has reopened!

And even though the Eat to the Beat concert series has been canceled this year, you can still munch to some music during the Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival in 2020.

Let’s take look at some of the special entertainment EPCOT has in store for its guests.

Musical Performances

Earlier, Disney announced some of EPCOT’s classic entertainment offerings would be taking the main stage at the American Adventure pavilion. Mariachi Cobre and JAMMitors are two popular acts you’ll normally see in other parts of EPCOT, but now you’ll find them performing at the America Gardens Theatre throughout the day!

In fact, we were able to catch a performance of Mariachi Cobre as we happened by! The musicians were just about to take the stage and were wearing their face masks while waving to fans.

They’re still performing The Story of Coco, but in a socially-distanced way! They have a lot more elbow room to strum and play their instruments over here. In fact, we could get used to sitting down and watching them play while sitting in the shade instead of standing in the sun at the Mexico pavilion.

As you can see, every-other row has been closed off so guests can socially distance themselves. Since this is not a relaxation station, masks must be worn at all times.

Some seats have also been marked as unavailable so that different parties in the same row and physically distance themselves.

We’ll be back to try and catch a performance of the JAMMitors in just a little bit, but don’t forget — there’s another NEW form of entertainment at EPCOT right now where you’ll have the chance to catch a glimpse of some of your favorite Disney friends!

Character Cavalcades

Since nighttime spectaculars and character meet and greets have been temporarily postponed at Disney World, EPCOT has several mini-parades throughout the day like the Frozen Promenade we spotted at the World Showcase!
