You’re invited to “tune” in to ABC for a special event airing Thursday, April 16th at 8:00 PM EST: The Disney Family Singalong!
This one hour special will celebrate “family, music and the love of all things Disney.” Sounds good, right? (EVERY pun intended!) The nationwide singalong event will be hosted by Ryan Seacrest, and will feature celebrities together with their family members singing favorite Disney songs.
Confirmed guests so far include: Christina Aguilera, Erin Andrews, Bobby Bones, Michael Bublé, Kristin Chenoweth, Auliʻi Cravalho, Luke Evans, Jordan Fisher, Josh Gad, Derek Hough, Julianne Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba, Little Big Town, Kenny Ortega, Donny Osmond, Thomas Rhett, Amber Riley, John Stamos… and more!
The “and more” will feature folks from various areas of the Walt Disney Company such as The Walt Disney Studios, Walt Disney Television, Disney Music Group, and Disney Theatrical Productions… and still more beyond that, as additional guests and performances will soon be announced.
And check this out! A Disney animated character will guide YOU along with the on-screen lyrics, so everyone watching can easily enjoy belting out during all the singalong fun!
But if you’d like brush up in advance, you should know that featured melodies will include songs from Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Toy Story, Moana, Frozen, and High School Musical.
President of ABC Entertainment Karey Burke shares: “If there’s something that we’ve all learned in the past few weeks, it’s to cherish every moment and the importance of connection, whether through laughter, stories or music. We hope that we can help create some new unforgettable moments in everyone’s home in a way that only the magic of Disney can.”
One more “note,” before we start our vocal warm-ups… The Disney Family Singalong will air Public Service Announcements with Walt Disney Television talent to “raise awareness about Feeding America’s vast network and resources for people in the country who are finding themselves in unfamiliar circumstances and facing hunger for the first time.” You can learn more at FeedingAmerica.org/FeedtheLove.
