Now that March has begun, the hues coloring eats and drinks around Disney World are turning from February’s Valentine pinks and reds to the wearing o’ the GREEN in honor of St. Patrick’s Day.

And we’re kicking off the celebration a little early at BoardWalk Joe’s (on Disney World’s BoardWalk, of course) with the new Shamrockerita!

This charming kiosk serves up all sorts of “Marvelous Margaritas,” and the Shamrockerita brings together Don Julio Blanco Tequila, DeKuyper Pucker Sour Apple, agave, lime juice, and sweet-and-sour.

It’s all finished off with a slice of lime and a green sugar rim.

The very pronounced lime along with the sour apple give this tart drink its pucker. It’s a good choice for those who prefer a fruity drink without an overload on the alcohol flavor, and a fun sip to enjoy while taking in the BoardWalk’s lovely views…

And the Shamrockerita isn’t the only sign of spring around here… today begins a fun week of kicking off SPRING in Disney World! Guests can walk straight into Epcot from Disney World’s BoardWalk, and that’s where we’ll be reporting from starting this Wednesday, March 4th, for the start of the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival!
