It’s one of our favorite times of the year! That’s right — it’s the Epcot’s Festival of the Arts, you guys!
And, although the festival is about plenty of beautiful creations, we’re about to get a lil messy (and have a LOT of fun) at the Deconstructed Dish! So, grab your napkins ’cause we’re here to take you with us LIVE as we review the Food Studio!
While the Deconstructed Dish was closed earlier today for technical difficulties, we were ready to try EVERYTHING when it opened back up! Even though it was 5 PM!!
Food
Although we aren’t opposed to having dessert before dinner, we’re starting with the savory eats at the Deconstructed Dish! And, this time they’re serving up two sandwich-inspired snacks (that we are SO excited about). First up, the Deconstructed Reuben comes with sliced corned beef, rye-crusted sauerkraut, and Jarlsberg Cake with Broken Thousand Island Dressing for $6.75.
If you LOVE sauerkraut, then you’ve gotta try this dish! The cake has a very strong sauerkraut flavor that works super well with the salty beef (and might even be better than an ACTUAL Reuben)!
Following the sandwich vibe, the Deconstructed BLT is made with crispy pork belly, tomato jam, and soft poached egg for $7.
We’re ready to have the Deconstructed BLT every day for lunch because it is fabulous. The pork belly is crispy compared to the soft egg (which is cooked very well). Plus, the hint of sweetness from the tomato jam ties just everything together, like a wonderful work of art.
Ready for dessert?? We are! Back again this year, the Deconstructed Strawberry Cheesecake is sweet and tasty with its whipped New York-style cheesecake, fresh Florida strawberries, and sugar cookies with micro-basil for $6.25.
Drinks
After all that salty and sweet goodness, the drinks at the Deconstructed Dish are a great way to was down the eats you’ve tried! This year, you can try the Rainboba, which is sparkling water layered with fruit boba and topped with a foam cloud. While it’s really cute, the taste wasn’t a total blow away since it’s mostly strawberry lemonade sparkling water for $8… BUT…you do get to keep the adorable Festival of the Arts cup. So all-in-all we think it’s pretty worth it.
You can also try the Deconstructed Breakfast for $4.50! This drink comes in a non-alcoholic and alcoholic version with its mixture of Twinings® Spiced Apple Chai Tea Shake and Maple Syrup, which is topped with a Waffle Crisp and Candied Bacon.
While the non-alcoholic version is sweeter with more notes of apple and cinnamon, we couldn’t help but love the addition of Bourbon for $11! The super-smooth drink tastes like a boozy breakfast or “morning cup of happiness” as our reporter called it.
Overall
Although the drinks were tasty at the Deconstructed Dish, we can’t get over how AH-MAZING the food was! The Reuben and BLT happen to be some of our favorite eats of the day, and they were great portion sizes too. If you’re visiting the Festival of the Arts, be sure to pop over to Deconstructed Dish (you’ll thank us later).
