Pucker Up! Sour Cherry Beignets are BACK in Disneyland!

It might be time to scurry on over to the Mint Julep Bar in Disneyland because some surprising beignets are back!

Last summer, we spotted one of the most unique beignet flavors to grace the Mint Julep Bar in New Orleans Square. Sour. Cherry. Beignets. Seriously, how did they think up Sour Cherry Beignets?? Well, get ready to pucker up because this sweet and sour treat just returned to Disneyland!

We spotted the return of a Seasonal Beignet on the Mint Julep Bar menu, and what does that little text say? Oh, that’s right, Sour Cherry Beignets are BACK. You can chow down on a three-piece for $5.49 or on a six-piece for 8.99.

Now be forewarned, we didn’t love this crazy rendition as much as a classic beignet. The red sour candy sugar isn’t nearly as fine as classic beignet sugar and it definitely screws with the texture, so don’t expect this one to be melting in your mouth like a traditional beignet. Plus, it really is SOUR. So if puckering up isn’t your thing, maybe look elsewhere for that beignet fix. But if it is, then this thing is pretty darn good!
