Disney World is really pouring out some interesting seasonal cocktails this holiday season!
First, there was the Frozen Eggnoggery and Claus-mo we sipped on Disney Springs’ Christmas Tree Trail. Now a new festive newcomer has joined in the holiday festivities at Disney World — and it has us shaking our heads in disbelief!
But, yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus! And there’s ALSO this NEW Peppermint Margarita! It features peppermint syrup, lime juice, silver patron, Cointreau, and a splash of grenadine! And it even comes with a crushed peppermint candy-coated rim! Can’t you just feel the holiday magic emanating off of it?!? We certainly can!
But good looks aside, you’re probably wondering how this vision in red, white, and green (thanks to the lime wedge!) actually TASTES! Well, friends, let’s just say it’s very minty, but you can actually still taste the tequila — really! We were pleasantly surprised to find the peppermint flavor wasn’t overpowering like we were kinda expecting it would be.
Yeah, here’s the thing — we had our Peppermint Margarita doubts! We just weren’t sure if the peppermint flavor was going to play well with others, but we found it surprisingly refreshing! And for having so much candy action going on, it wasn’t too sweet like some of the other seasonal cocktails we’ve tasted. Just don’t go overboard with licking the rim if you’re trying to keep an even keel! It’s definitely packing one seriously cloying punch if you choose to go there!
And another lesson we learned during our brief time with the Peppermint Margarita — this thing is best enjoyed right away! We let ours sit for a while after it had been mixed and some separation started to occur, which was a little weird!
So try the new Peppermint Margarita for yourself at Dockside Margaritas for $15 and let us know if you’re a Peppermint Margarita believer!
