FINALLY! Review: That Epic Mac and Cheese Is Now A Side Item at Galaxy’s Edge!

Everyone knows kids love mac and cheese, but why should they get to have it all to themselves??

Grown ups like mac and cheese, too, OBVI! There’s lots of adult mac and cheese options around the Disney parks, like the new Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese at the KRNR The Rock Station in Hollywood Studios, and we can’t get enough. Now, visitor’s to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney World can FINALLY find mac and cheese as a side item at Docking Bay 7!

The Fried Chicken entree (previously called Fried Endorian Tip-Yip…’til all those menus changed today) has always been served with a side of Vegetable Mashed Potatoes with Herb Gravy, but now guests ordering the meal have the choice between the original potatoes or Macaroni and Cheese AND Roasted Veggies!

The mac and cheese has always been available on the kids’ menu at Docking Bay 7 but boy, are we excited to see an adult portion! (We’ve been saying since Disneyland Galaxy’s Edge DAY 1 that the mac and cheese is the best thing on the menu here.) The full meal is a large portion — in our version it even looked like a little more food than the potatoes side! Plus, it’s the same price at $15.49 no matter which side you choose.

The Fried Chicken can be a little hit or miss but this mac and cheese is awesome! Those cute little ditalonis are positively loaded with hot and melty cheese. Yum!

The roasted veggies on the side are nice as well! Between the chicken and the mac and cheese this meal can feel pretty hefty, so the greens help to cut the more rich flavors of the pasta a little bit.

Now, the mashed potatoes are still a great side dish to the chicken, so it depends on what kind of mood you’re in. (::whispers:: get the mac and cheese…the MAC AND CHEEEESE.) Still, it’s awesome to have some macaroni on the menu for adult guests on Batuu!
