For those of you who loved the Reese’s Pieces Cupcake from Beach Club, we’re happy to announce that the Goofy Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcake that replaced it a while back is a great and similar option.
Though the Goofy Cupcake has been around for a while, we thought it deserved a full review!
The previous Reese’s Pieces cupcake sold at the Marketplace was a good dessert in a pinch. And over the years we got a bit attached to it! But when it disappeared, the Goofy Cupcake came in and basically serves as the Reese’s Pieces Cupcake’s replacement.
For starters, we think that the Goofy Cupcake is a much cuter version of the Reese’s Cupcake that came before it. And we think Disney has done a great job with the fondant Goofy ears and the white chocolate hat.
For flavor and texture — Goofy scores points. This cupcake was much moister than its Reese’s counterpart in our experience.
We were a bit disappointed that there was no filling, but we were BIG fans of the bright orange peanut butter buttercream. We thought that the flavors were super simple and really delicious.
So, the major differences between the two was the consistency and the look. Peanut butter fans will be happy with this one as well.
You can find the Goofy Cupcake at the Marketplace locations at both the Yacht and Beach Club for $5.99. It can also be purchased with a Disney Dining Plan snack credit!!
