Spring has most definitely sprung, and The Mara in Animal Kingdom Lodge is celebrating with the Spring Garden Cake!

You’ll find it tucked in among the refrigerated items, which is why it comes in its own mini case.

A coconut cake base is covered in icing further topped with green-colored coconut flakes.

And the chocolate ganache on top covers a coconut buttercream filling which is light in texture.

Even with that lightness, the entire dessert is super rich, and the fact that this is practically two desserts in one makes it even more so.

Note that the sign mentions lemon mousse filling in the cake, but we didn’t pick up on too much lemon flavor.

Then again, the treat we received is even prettier than the picture right down to the hue of the coconut (though perhaps the treat is presented differently on different days), so we’re happy that the real cake is a bit different anyway!

The Spring Garden Cake is $5.99 or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit. And it’s as lovely to look at as it is to eat!
