Let’s explore everything we know about Lakeshore Lodge so far…
Lakeshore Lodge — The Theme
Disney shares that the brand-new hotel, which will be located on Disney World’s Bay Lake, is “inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists.”
A closer look at the Concept Art ©Disney
In an earlier version of the concept art than that which is posted at the top of this page, we can see what appears to be a sign above the entrance to the hotel saying “The Wonders of Nature are Endless”.
Lakeshore Lodge — Location
In 2019, Disney originally announced Reflections — A Disney Lakeside Lodge Resort. Reflections had an expected opening date of 2022; however, construction was halted following the 2020 global health crisis. It was set to occupy the former home of Disney’s River Country water park near Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.
Lakeshore Lodge construction — December 2025
Disney Lakeshore Lodge is being built in that same location. It will be considered a Magic Kingdom Area Resort.

Lakeshore Lodge — Construction
We have been keeping a close eye on construction since it began. While Disney has not shared much information in an official manner, we’ve enjoyed sharing things we are noticing around the construction site.

In October 2025, we noticed several A-frame structures being built.

It appears the hotel may also be home to multiple A-frame waterfront cabins.
Also in October 2025, @bioreconstruct posted photos that provide a look at the Resort’s pool construction.

Then, in December 2025, @bioreconstruct on Instagram shared a new look at the lazy river and pool area of the hotel.

We can see so far that the pool and lazy river will be separate from each other, but they are just a few steps away from one another.
