Can’t make it to Disney World to participate in a runDisney race (or just looking to log in some extra magical miles)? runDisney hosts several Virtual Run Series during the year!

2025 runDisney 12Ks of Christmas Virtual Series

For the 2023 holiday season, a virtual run series dubbed the 12Ks of Christmas made its debut, and it is running again (HA!) from December 1-31, 2025! This year, the theme honors The Muppets’ 70th anniversary celebration!

This race series features three 4K running events (which is 12Ks total) as a challenge — all hosted by fan-favorite Disney characters as the mascots! Participants receive FOUR themed medals (which DOUBLE as ornaments!) to commemorate your success (one medal per 4K, and one Challenge medal for a total of FOUR)! Participants also receive a Brooks Running Beanie and a Holiday CORKCICLE® mug and a box of Twinings® holiday tea.

Registration for the 2025 runDisney 12Ks of Christmas Virtual Series opened on August 19th, 2025 on rundisney.com. The price is $267.00 (including a 6.6% platform service fee).

2025 runDisney Summer Virtual Series — Stay tuned for 2026 information

The 2025 runDisney Summer Virtual Series returned from June 1, 2025 – August 31, 2025. Stay tuned for the 2026 dates and theme! Virtual Series participants complete a 5K of their choice (from three events) at home on their own schedule and receive a medal for their efforts. Participants who complete all three 5Ks receive an additional series completion medal! 

Registration for the 2025 runDisney Virtual Series opened on April 1st, 2025 at 10AM on runDisney.com. Stay tuned for the 2026 registration date!

In addition to finisher medals for each individual race (and an additional medal and keepsake for participants who complete all three 5K races as part of the Challenge), participants receive:

• Downloads for a themed bib and finisher certificate
• Downloads for an at-home themed kit that includes a start line, finish line and mile markers

Remember: Participants must register for the runDisney Virtual Challenge to be eligible for the Challenge medal.

runDisney Virtual Love on the Run 14-Miler — Stay tuned for 2026 information

A NEW virtual run series made its debut from February 1st – April 7th, 2025: the Love on the Run 14-Miler combines THREE virtual races (a 2-miler, 5-miler and 7-miler to total 14 miles) and celebrates love and friendship featuring “Disney and Pixar duos.”

In addition to finisher medals for each individual race (and an additional Challenge medal AND an embroidered blanket and a magnet), participants receive:

• Downloads for a themed bib and finisher certificate
• Downloads for an at-home themed kit that includes a start line, finish line and mile markers
