2026 runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend Dates and Theme

Having made its debut in 2022, the runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend offers a “completely different experience” every year… SURPRISE! The 2026 Springtime Surprise Weekend will take place from April 16 – 19, 2026, and the theme celebrates “the power of friendship with races centered around some dynamic Disney duos!”

General registration for the 2026 Springtime Surprise Weekend is OPEN as of July 29, 2025 at 10AM EST on runDisney.com. ForClub runDisney Gold and Platinum members, registration is now open as of July 22, 2025 at 10AM EST.

2026 runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend Participant Information

runDisney Springtime Surprise 10-Miler

When: April 19, 2026
Time: 5AM
Location: Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Theme and Characters: “On April 19, who knows which set of emotions you’ll experience as you take on 10 miles with Joy and Sadness…though maybe we just covered two of them.”

Registration opening dates are as follows: 

• Club runDisney Gold and Platinum Registration —  July 22, 2025
• General Registration — July 29, 2025 at 10AM ET

Registration fees are as follows, based on date of purchase for in-person race:

• July 29, 2025 – January 26, 2026: $229.00
• Beginning January 27, 2026: $239.00

Prices include a 6.6% platform service fee.

runDisney Springtime Surprise 10-Miler features:

runDisney Springtime Surprise 10K

Date: April 18, 2026
Time: 5AM
Location: Walt Disney World Resort
Theme and Characters: “On April 18, run, bounce, pounce or trounce your way through 6.2 miles during this hunny of a 10K featuring Winnie the Pooh and Tigger. If bounding as Pooh, please wear pants.”

Registration opening dates are as follows:

• General Registration — July 29, 2025 at 10AM ET

Registration fees are as follows, based on date of purchase for in-person race:

• July 29, 2025 – January 26, 2026: $166.00

runDisney Springtime Surprise 5K

Date: April 17, 2026
Time: 5AM
Location: Walt Disney World Resort
Theme and Characters: “On April 17, have a “hare”-raising time as you speed through 3.1 miles of running fun. Just don’t get busted by bunny cop Judy Hopps or sly fox Nick Wilde. It is currently unknown if carrots will be offered.”

• General Registration — July 29, 2025 at 10AM ET

Registration fees are as follows, based on date of purchase for in-person race:

runDisney Springtime Surprise Challenge

The runDisney Springtime Surprise Challenge combines the 5K, 10K and the 10-Miler races for a total of 19.3 miles.

Complete all three races within the pacing requirements and you’ll earn a Challenge medal featuring Aladdin and Genie from Disney’s Aladdin in addition to your 10-Miler, 10k, and 5K medals! (“Finish all three races for a total of 19.3 miles and receive a fourth Challenge medal featuring Aladdin and Genie. Note that the utilization of magic lamps and flying carpets will be considered cheating.”) Registration for the runDisney Springtime Surprise Challenge is required to receive the runDisney Springtime Surprise Challenge medal.

runDisney Springtime Surprise Sunrise Yoga

Date: April 20, 2026
Time: 5AM, EST (The yoga session lasts for one hour)
Location: Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Registration opens on July 29, 2025 at 10AM EST. Registration fees are as follows:

• $125.00

Price includes a 6.6% platform service fee.

runDisney Springtime Surprise Sunrise Yoga Highlights:

• A one-hour yoga experience in Disney’s Hollywood Studios
• Yoga mat with carrying cover
• Bottled Water

runDisney Health & Fitness Expo

Participants must attend the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo at least one day prior to their first event to pick up their race bib, participant shirt and pre-purchased merchandise.
