CONFIRMED: Disney’s Animal Kingdom Has a NEW Map…and You’re Probably Not Gonna Like It

I am devastated to be the one to show you this, but DinoLand U.S.A. is off the map at Animal Kingdom.

Yep, after opening in 1998, DinoLand has become extinct, and even though we were among the final to ride DINOSAUR on closing day, we had to come back in the morning to witness the changes. Not only was all of DinoLand officially blocked off, but when we picked up a park map, we saw changes we’ve been dreading for months now. If you’re sensitive to Disney nostalgia and permanently closed attractions, look away now!

Let’s Go Get That Dino! Celebrate the FINAL DAY of Disney’s DinoLand With Us!

Today is a sad day at Disney World. DinoLand U.S.A. is officially closing, and today marks the last day to experience the land.

It’s been slowly closing in phases, so we’ve already said goodbye to other experiences such as TriceraTop Spin, Fossil Fun Games, Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures (which I’m still not over), The Boneyard, Trilo-Bites, and Dino-Bite Snacks, but it doesn’t make it any less hard to officially say goodbye. Come with us for the final day of DinoLand in Animal Kingdom.

Here at Disney Food Blog, we’re pretty serious about our shoes, and trust us, you’ll feel the same way after walking around Disney for hours and hours on end. We’re always going for the maximum comfort, but it can’t hurt if they look amazing, too.

We know snacks around Disney World can be expensive, but sometimes they can be EXPENSIVE. Like, “oh my gosh, I can’t believe I spent this amount of money on a single snack,” kinda expensive. That being said, sometimes those high prices are totally worth it.

We’re going straight to Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, home to The Cake Bake Shop Bakery, which has made us almost (almost) immune to $22 slices of cake, but we’re taking a break from cake and putting our fork into something else.

REVIEW: I Just Spent $13 on Fries in Disney World, and I Have No Regrets

Listen: I’ve tried a lot of fries in my life. I’ve had them covered in barbecue pork, on the side of buffalo chicken tenders, and absolutely smothered in gravy. Disney World is able to take a classic boat of French fries and transform them into something I’ve never tasted before.
