Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana
The new Moana-inspired attraction in EPCOT — Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana — is set to open in the fall of 2023. We’ve been not-so-patiently waiting for it to arrive, but we were lucky enough to attend a Cast Member preview! We had a ton of fun walking through this exploration trail and playing with the living water — you can read all about our experience here. But, there was one thing that didn’t quite go according to plan.

It’s officially hurricane season and Florida is experiencing its first major storm of the year.
Storm in Magic Kingdom
Hurricane Idalia strengthened to a dangerous Category 4 storm as it passed through the Gulf of Mexico, and then made landfall as a Category 3 hurricane in the Big Bend area of Florida. Some of Disney World’s experiences have closed due to the extreme weather — like Typhoon Lagoon and some of its miniature golf courses — but its four main parks have remained open. So, what is it like being in Disney World during this type of storm? Come find out.

That’s right, the Walt Disney Company turned 100 this year, and we’ve already gotten to take part in the event in some exciting ways. From sparkly new Minnie ears and Cinderella popcorn buckets to merch that takes us back to the beginning with Steamboat Willie — there has been no shortage of fun merchandise to stock up on for the occasion. If you managed to get this far without snagging something to remember the event by, you might be tempted to after you see what Samsung and Disney have created.
