The Disney Dining Plan is a method of pre-paying for meals and snacks at Walt Disney World. There are two versions of the Plan at different price points to suit different needs: the Quick Service Disney Dining Plan and the standard Disney Dining Plan. The Disney Dining Plan is an optional add-on must be purchased as part of a Disney World Vacation Package which also includes your Disney World hotel stay.

From time to time, Disney runs a promotion that offers the Disney Dining Plan to guests for FREE (widely referred to as “Free Dining”) with the purchase of a paid Walt Disney World Vacation Package (a Disney Resort hotel stay and tickets).
Can Annual Passholders Get Free Dining?
Disney World Annual Passholders may sometimes take advantage of Free Disney World Dining Plan Offers. Historically, in order to do so, Annual Passholders have been required to book a Walt Disney World Vacation Package at full price with a minimum night stay, and required to include at least a one-day ticket in the package for each person staying in the room.*
*The exception to this rule is the FREE Disney Dining for KIDS promotion for 2026, as this is not a traditional Free Dining promotion. Guests who purchase a Disney Dining Plan for a 2026 Disney World Resort stay can take advantage of FREE Dining for KIDS (ages 3 to 9) for that reservation.

It may be a better deal to take advantage of Annual Passholder Room Discounts rather than a Free Dining Offer.
