The BIG Magic Kingdom Announcement We’re Expecting Next Month

I know, I know — it’s only April, but that also means we’re almost halfway to Halloween!

Halloween at Disney World brings a ton of fun! From Mickey pumpkins decorating Main Street U.S.A., to fun treats throughout the Resort, we love when Halloween comes to town. While it’s only April, we are expecting Disney to make a big announcement regarding Halloween next month, and you’ll want to be ready for it!

Each Halloween season, we look forward to one BIG event at Magic Kingdom — Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. This is the after-hours Halloween party at Disney World, where you will find specialty snacks, great entertainment, arguably the best parade, and so much more. The party dates typically kick off in August and will run on select nights until Halloween.

The big announcement we’re waiting on? We’re anticipating Disney announcing the dates of the 2026 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in May. Last year, we got the news on May 12th, so we are thinking it could be around then when Disney releases that information this year.

So what does that mean for you? If you are hoping to purchase tickets for the party, this announcement will let you know when they will go on sale as well as give you an idea of what dates to look for. If you want these dates to be announced before you book your fall trip, then this will give you the green light to do so! If you are not planning on attending the party, but do have a Disney trip booked in the fall, you’ll want to note the dates of the parties, as Magic Kingdom will close early on these nights, and that will impact your park day.
