We Never Thought Disney+ and ESPN Would Add THIS, But We Couldn’t Be Happier

Banana Ball is getting a lot of Disney magic! Banana Ball is a fast-paced, entertainment-focused version of baseball pioneered by the Savannah Bananas.

ESPN has been a longtime supporter of Banana Ball, with select live game coverage in 2022 and the ESPN+ Original series Bananaland. They’ve even been invited to Disneyland! Disney and ESPN’s new update is sure to make any Banana Ball fan go bananas.

ESPN, Disney+, and the Savannah Bananas announced a 25-game exclusive package for 2026. Every game will be streaming on the ESPN App and Disney+, and select games will air across ESPN networks and ABC beginning February 28. This is the largest Banana Ball distribution deal to date!

15 additional games will air on ESPN networks. There will also be a first-ever national showcase on ABC live from Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon. This will be one of the largest Banana Ball events ever staged! Plus, every game will stream on Disney+ and the ESPN App for fans with Unlimited plan subscriptions.

“We are fired up to be teaming up with ESPN with our biggest collaboration to date,” said Savannah Bananas owner Jesse Cole. “Banana Ball has grown massively on the platform over the past few years. Now, as we launch the Banana Ball Championship League with six teams and sold out shows all over the country, we couldn’t imagine a better partnership to grow the game.”

The Savannah Bananas are so popular that they took over Disneyland last year for Savannah Bananas Day. A second Savannah Bananas Day at Disneyland Resort will be held on March 26th, 2026! Last year, the team danced in front of the castle and brought some exclusive treats, including chocolate chip cookies with banana dip.
