Magic Kingdom is one of the busiest theme parks in the world, and to keep everything running smoothly, there are rules that every guest must follow while visiting.

Cinderella Castle
While planning your Disney World vacation, you are probably focused on what Lightning Lanes to book and where you will eat. But, there is one thing you should do before packing your bag and heading to the parks, and that is to understand the park rules. We’re here to bring attention to the rules you might be shocked to learn about at Magic Kingdom.
Stroller Wagons are Banned
Wagons have become a popular form of strollers, especially when you have multiple children. But they are not allowed at Disney World. Disney’s policy is that “Wagons are prohibited at any theme park or water park. It’s best not to bring your wagon to Magic Kingdom or any other park, because you will be made to return it to your vehicle or hotel. Certain sizes are acceptable for strollers. “Strollers that are greater than 31″ in width and 52″ in length. Stroller wagons are also prohibited.” Make sure your stroller is in compliance before heading to the park.

Loose Items Go in a Locker at TRON
This might shock a lot of guests, but TRON Lightcycle / Run is officially the first Disney World attraction to require the use of lockers. This is for the safety of guests on the ride and also below the ride, as visitors can stand underneath the coaster outside. Before you get to the vehicle loading area, guests will be directed to the lockers where larger items can be stored. To open a locker, just scan your MagicBand or ticket, and make sure you keep track of which number locker you selected!

No Tripods or Selfie Sticks
Bringing selfie sticks and tripods into the parks is flat-out not allowed. Disney’s official property rules state, “Selfie sticks, hand-held extension poles for cameras or mobile devices, flags, and banners are not allowed in any theme park or water park.” This might shock many guests because, of course, everyone wants to capture their memories here. So, why such a harsh stance? For one, safety.
A selfie stick mistakenly swung or dropped in a fast-moving ride can seriously injure other park guests or even damage ride mechanisms. Then there’s etiquette: those sticks extend into others’ personal space, block views during shows or parades, and generally add a layer of inconvenience in already crowded areas. Disney knows that even one guest misusing a stick can ruin the experience for many.

No Costumes for Adults
We know many guests love dressing up at Disney, but costumes for adults, especially those themed to Disney Princesses, should stay in the suitcase. The only exception to this is Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, but be sure to schedule it during your party time and avoid wearing masks or toy weapons. This could create confusion with other guests about who is a Disney character for meet and greets and who is another guest. Security can and will ask you to change before you get into the parks.

Obstructing Walkways
You might hear Cast Members telling you to keep walking during the parade or fireworks. This is because Disney’s policy states, “Obstructing sidewalks, entrances, driveways, patios, vestibules, stairways, corridors, halls or landings” is forbidden. Unless you are inside the taped-off area on the ground, you will need to keep moving. This is for safety reasons, and you will want to adhere to the Cast Members’ directions. It can be frustrating when looking for a spot, but try to secure your spot early so you aren’t frantically looking at the last minute.

Rules mean nothing if not enforced.
Just returned from a trip to DisneyWorld and people were indeed bringing in stroller wagons. I also thought these were prohibited so how are people allowed to bring them in?
