Disney just dropped a TON of news on us, and it all has to do with what’s coming back to Cool Kid Summer in just a few months!

The company previously announced that Cool Kid Summer would be coming back to Disney World in Summer 2026, but now we know a little bit more about what special offerings will be available during the season. In fact, we just got confirmation that one of our FAVORITE perks is returning, and it’s a big reason why you won’t want to miss out on Early Entry.
If you stay at any of the hotels in the Disney Resorts Collection, you’ll get access to Early Entry, which allows you to enter each Disney World park 30 minutes before opening on every day of your trip. During Cool Kid Summer, different Disney characters will be meeting guests across all four parks during Early Entry.

There’s no list of which characters will be available in each park, but they WILL be different! Disney is encouraging guests to visit the different parks for Early Entry throughout their trip so they can take advantage of all the special meet and greets. Now, it’s important to note that this won’t take away from any of the regularly scheduled meet and greets in each park throughout regular park hours — it’s just in addition to what’s already scheduled.
Rapunzel and Flynn Rider
Speaking of characters, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside will also offer more experiences and amenities designed for families with young children, including scheduled visits from favorite Disney pals during Cool Kid Summer. If you know your kiddo loves meet and greets, staying at one of these hotels this summer is likely a VERY good idea!

Hi Ron! Animation Courtyard will be closed, but also possibly Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios and Dinosaur at Animal Kingdom, depending on how long those refurbs take. Disney hasn’t given official dates.
