Attention shoppers! Trader Joe’s has plans to open a location near Disney World soon!

When we’re in the mood for unique snacks, Trader Joe’s is one of our go-to grocery stores. In fact, we’ve even found plenty of items at Trader Joe’s that make us feel like we’re snacking around the world in EPCOT! If this boutique grocery is also one of your favorite spots to stop, we’ve got good news — Trader Joe’s has plans to open a new location right by Disney World!
After recently opening two new locations on Florida’s Space Coast, Trader Joe’s is now focusing on Kissimmee and Maitland for continued expansion. According to the Orlando Sentinel, North American Development Group, the company that owns the Loop West shopping center in Kissimmee, has filed site plans with the city and South Florida Water Management District for a new 12,500-square-foot grocery store on the retail pad north of JCPenney. The proposed grocery store’s size and layout match typical Trader Joe’s designs, which are less than 15,000 square feet.

In addition, Trelago Market owner Harbour Retail Partners is planning a 12,500-square-foot Trader Joe’s in the Maitland shopping center.

While the grocer declined to confirm specific plans for the Loop West store, they did confirm that they’re looking to expand to Kissimmee. Spokesperson Nakia Rohde said, “We are actively looking at hundreds of neighborhoods across the country, including areas in Kissimmee, as we hope to open more new neighborhood stores each year.”

Trader Joe’s is owned by the same German family as ALDI, another one of our go-to favorites for unique finds, but the two chains operate separately. Trader Joe’s began a rapid expansion plan in 2025, announcing it would open 41 new stores across the country by the end of the year. The company is close to hitting its goal with 36 new stores and another nine listed as “coming soon” on its website.
