This week was BIG in terms of news coming out of Disneyland Resort as well as Disney World this week, and trust us when we say you don’t want to miss a thing.
New themed hotel rooms have debuted, there’s an entire new Magic Key Pass on the way for Disneyland Resort, we found out beloved entertainment offerings are returning in 2026, and so much more. Let’s break it all down so you don’t miss a thing!
Over in Disney World, we got a behind-the-scenes update on the new expansion construction happening in Animal Kingdom! The Instagram video shared online from the WaltDisneyImagineering account features the General Superintendent of Construction, Johnny, who takes guests through the site as vertical construction begins on one of the area’s primary attractions based on Encanto.
Any chance we have to see what’s going on with construction in the parks is a huge deal, especially when it’s a project as massive as this one is! We love any update we can get about the new additions coming to the parks, because it helps us gauge construction progress, and may give us a clue on what Disney’s opening timeline could be.

As for Disneyland news, we’ve got a ton to go through, so strap in! Starting with hotel news, Disney just announced that a new Coco suite and a new The Incredibles suite are now available to book at Pixar Place Hotel! The Coco suite is absolutely stunning, with tons of nods to the film, including Miguel’s guitar, and lots of space to spread out.
As for The Incredibles suite, there’s a hand scanner outside the door (that won’t actually get you into the room, but hey, it’s a cool detail), and the living area is themed to the Parr House seen in the movies. The whole suite has a modern superhero vibe and is all themed to the films. You’ll even find photos of the family on the walls, as well as Bob and Helen’s wedding photo!
These suites are available RIGHT NOW, but we’ve got a feeling they’re going to book up quick. We suggest acting sooner rather than later!

Disneyland Resort also revealed when some of their most popular entertainment offerings will be coming back following the holiday season! Wondrous Journeys and Mickey and Friends 70th outfits return on January 8th, The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade returns on January 9th, and the Paint the Night parade returns on January 30th, 2026.
While we love the park’s holiday offerings, don’t get us wrong, it’s great to know that these fan-favorite offerings will be returning in just a few short weeks, as it’ll help people plan their upcoming vacations for the new year.

Finally, one of the biggest announcements this week was that a NEW Magic Key pass is replacing the Enchant Key Pass. The new key is called the Explore Key and will cost $999. It’ll become available on January 13th, 2026, and will include reservation-based Park Hopper admission with the ability to hold up to 4 theme park reservations at a time, up to 10% off select merchandise and dining, 25% off parking at the Toy Story Parking area, and 25% off the purchase of Lightning Lane Multi Pass.
The benefits of the new Explore Key are very similar to the Enchant Key, but it has the added perk of being able to go to the parks on weekdays in June and July. We have a feeling they’ll go fast, so you’ll want to be ready to purchase yours on January 13th.
