A NEW Disney x IKEA Experience Is Coming to Orlando

We love classic Disney snacks — it’s kind of our whole thing here at Disney Food Blog. You know, Mickey pretzels, DOLE whip, Swedish meatballs… wait, what???

Okay, okay, we know Swedish meatballs aren’t a classic Disney snack, but this new collaboration has us craving some anyway. That’s right, Disney and IKEA are teaming up for pop-ups around the country — including Orlando! We’ve got all the details, so let’s check them out.

Mark your calendars, because this holiday season, three IKEA locations are bringing the Disney magic to stores for Disney-themed pop-ups, including in-store experiences that will make the holidays especially memorable for families.

Three stores — in Round Rock, Texas; Burbank, California; and Orlando, Florida — will host Disney-themed pop-up shops in stores from now through January. In addition to the Disney-themed pop-ups, each location will also host interactive Disney-themed programming for families that includes:

Stitch’s Scavenger Hunt
Magical Workshop
Decorating with Friends
Holiday Drive-In (exclusive to the Burbank location)

Stitch’s Scavenger Hunt will have you looking for the little blue alien throughout the store, and is completely free — no registration necessary! You can follow the clues throughout the Showroom to help Stitch reunite with his family. Don’t forget to scan the last QR code to receive a prize in the Swedish Restaurant!

The Magical Workshop will let participants craft Mickey or Minnie-inspired bead art! This event is taking place at the Orlando IKEA on December 6th and 7th, at a few different times each day. Registration is required for this event, but it is free as well. This activity is designed for participants aged 4 and older. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The Holiday Drive-In at the Burbank location is currently fully booked, but you can get on the waiting list here. They will be showing Disney’s Home Alone (1990) on Friday, December 5th, from 5:30 PM to 8 PM! What a fun way to get into the holiday spirit with Disney and IKEA!
