If there’s one thing we must NEVER forget on our Disney trips, it’s a portable charger for our phones!
From taking pictures to checking wait times, we’re constantly on our phones! Thanks to this brand-new portable charger that just dropped on Amazon, it’s been a lifesaver (literally) on our Disney days. You need to take a look at this!
We love this FuelRod Max 10
We seriously love the FuelRod Max 10! This is a HUGE Fuel Rod portable charger that’s been completely revamped from the form we once knew. Whether you’re someone who needs to keep up with important things on their devices while on vacation, needs access to apps on their phones constantly, the memory maker taking all the pictures and videos on their phone, or families charging multiple devices at the same time — this is for you!
We’ll be completely honest, at $80 for the initial kit, it’s pretty expensive. However, the huge advantage here is that you can swap it for free at Disney World, so you’re never without power. The key features of the product include multiple charging ports, a lit battery life indicator on the side, a button to turn power off and on, multiple chargers for different charging ends, MagnaSafe so you can magnetically charge your phone, and swappable for FREE at Disney World.
It’s beefy — both in charge and capability. It’s got a lot more power and potential than its previous standard round rod model, and that makes it worth the investment. It’s good to use anytime of day, on multiple devices, can be easily swapped for another with a full charge, and even used when it’s raining magnetically, without the fear of ruining your charging port or expensive cord.
There are a couple of things that took some getting used to! It’s bulky when you’re using it to charge magnetically. Small hands may struggle to use their phone while it’s connected. It’s also slower to charge magnetically than plugged in, and its heaviness doesn’t make it pocket-friendly.
We really like this for trips! Yes, there are cheaper versions, but the swapability is extremely convenient, plus more FuelRod stations are bringing this new model to all kinds of places like malls, airports, etc. It’s the same milliamps as a few of the others we’ve tried, like the INIUs that we typically use when we’re out in the parks every day. That being said, we’ll probably switch to this because this has the same capability and charge, AND we don’t have to worry about plugging up to charge after a long day in the parks.
We’re giving this a 4.5 out of 5, only because of the bulkier, heavier feel, which is practically unavoidable but still not ideal. That being said, 4.5 out of 5 is pretty dang great! It seriously lasts us so long (and we go through an insane amount of battery on our phones taking pictures and videos of everything), and we love the ability to switch it out for free at Disney.
