Your packing list for Disney World is probably getting pretty long at this point. From all the Mickey ears, Loungefly bags, and the essentials like toothbrushes and sunscreen, your suitcase is likely looking pretty full. We’re adding one more item to your list, but this one will barely take up any space!
This tiny essential is going to make your hotel room at Disney World so much better and give you complete peace of mind that everyone in the family will be able to sleep at night. This is the Dreamegg Portable White Noise Machine, and we were ready to right this off, but now that we’ve started using it, we’re never traveling without it. Here’s why we’re always throwing this in our luggage!
1. Hotels Might Be Noisy
Walls at some Disney World hotels can be thin, and after a long, 12-hour day in the parks, the last thing we want to do is be kept awake by our neighbor’s movie all night. This helps drown out excess noise. Even when it wasn’t plugged in, the white noise machine lasted all night, but it also comes with a charger if you want to keep it plugged in. You can also set it to 30-, 60-, or 90-minute intervals, or leave it on until you decide to turn it off. It’s super small, too, so it won’t take up much space on a nightstand or in your luggage when you pack it.
2. Your Kids Might Already Be Used to It
Hey, if it works, why change it? Kids might already be used to having some sort of white or brown noise on at home, and when we travel, we try not to change too much at once. We have bigger ones at our house, but we love that this literally fits in the palm of our hands. It has 16 different sounds and 35 volume levels, so you can find the right balance without worrying about your phone cutting out or Spotify cutting in and out.
The transitions between sounds are seamless, so you won’t notice the changes, and it’s a great piece of mind that your kids won’t be disturbed in the middle of the night with ads or weird sounds.
In the meantime, make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for more of our favorite travel essentials, tips, and tricks to make your Disney World vacation the best one yet.
