If you have ever ridden Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT and wished the ride would just get rid of the 3D glasses, we have some good news for you! Whether you love or hate the 3D aspect of the ride, it is about to be gone for good.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT will be temporarily closing from November 10th to November 13th. While it is just a short closure, something BIG is happening during it. Currently, you experience Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure with 3D glasses, but that is about to change!
During the closure, Disney will switch the attraction to the new 2D system, meaning once it reopens, there will be no more 3D glasses or 3D experience. This change from 3D to 2D was already announced for Disneyland Paris, so it’s no surprise it will also happen in EPCOT. However, if you have a trip from November 10th to the 13th, keep in mind you won’t be able to ride Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.
In addition to the change to 2D, the EPCOT attraction will also be getting new props, and lighting will be added to the queue over the coming months. Disney hasn’t announced yet what exactly these new props and lighting entail, but we will be keeping our eyes peeled for new additions to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Over at Disneyland Paris, the original Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure (Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy) closed in October to undergo an extensive refurbishment.
At the original attraction, the ride will also be switching to 2D, but there is even more in store! The Disneyland Paris attraction will be receiving technical upgrades, scenic enhancements, new props, an enhanced queue, and more. The ride will be closed for much longer, though. Currently, it isn’t expected to reopen until spring 2026. On the other hand, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT will only be closed for three days: from November 10th until November 13th.
