If you’ve ever planned a Disney World vacation, you know that every dollar counts.

The Emporium at Magic Kingdom
Between park tickets, meals, and souvenirs, costs can add up fast. Which is exactly why finding little ways to save makes such a big difference. But here’s something most people don’t realize: there’s an easy way to save 10% on certain Disney purchases, and chances are, you might already have the tool in your wallet.
It’s the Disney Visa Card, and while many guests use it to pay for their Disney vacations, few actually take full advantage of its built-in discounts. The Disney Visa Card, offered by Chase, is a credit card designed for Disney fans. Cardholders earn Disney Rewards Dollars on everyday purchases that can be redeemed for park tickets, dining, resort stays, and merchandise. But beyond the rewards, the real perk for parkgoers is the instant savings it offers.

Disney Visa Card
At many Disney-owned shops and restaurants throughout Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort, cardholders can save 10% on select purchases simply by using the card to pay. The catch? Most people miss it because they don’t mention the discount when asked the classic Cast Member question: “Any discounts?” If you don’t speak up, the system doesn’t automatically apply it. Yes, even if you pay with the card, you still need to tell the CM that you have a discount!

Rewards Card
That 10% might not sound huge, but it adds up quickly. Spend $100 on souvenirs, and you’re instantly saving $10. If you do that a few times during your trip, you could easily save $50 or more. Just remember: you’ll need to pay with your Disney Visa and mention that you have it to receive the discount. Cast Members can’t retroactively apply it once the transaction is complete, so it’s worth making it a habit to ask every time.
I Had NO IDEA About These Two Disney Visa Cardmember Perks

A Disney Visa Card!
Beyond merchandise and dining savings, the Disney Visa Card offers a few extra park perks that make it even more appealing. Cardholders get access to exclusive character meet-and-greets in both Walt Disney World and Disneyland, plus special vacation financing options on select Disney vacation packages. There are also discounts on select tours, recreation, and spa experiences, as well as perks for Disney Cruise Line and shopDisney.com.

Sounds great, but here is the dilema . If I tell the server I am a DVC member, they are reluctant to add in the Chase/Disney Discount. They say they cannot do both. Your chase visa discount should be allowed on the total purchase after all discounts have been applied. Then save 10% by putting it on Chase card. It does not seem to work this way.
