Sometimes, when you’re visiting Disney World, you’re just looking for a solid place to grab a quick snack and a drink away from the hustle and bustle of the parks. While we’d typically direct you to the nearest Disney World hotel lounge in these instances, there’s ANOTHER less talked about spot that knows how to draw us in each and every time we pass by!
We recently stopped by Boardwalk Joe’s Marvelous Margaritas at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn Resort to see what was cookin’, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Find out here!
Atmosphere
If you’re looking for one of the best places to grab a quick drink to sip as you stroll around Disney World, there’s no better place we have in mind than BoardWalk Joe’s. This stand found at Disney’s BoardWalk is known mostly for its “Marvelous Margaritas!” It’s nestled right in between the likes of notable Disney World restaurants like AbracadaBar, Trattoria al Forno, and its newest neighbors, The Cake Bake Shop and Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs.
There’s not a whole lot to take in here aside from a cute snack stand that features large glowing bulbs that outline the stand’s sign and draw your eye almost immediately at first glance. It’s themed just like something you might expect to find at a regular Boardwalk along the Atlantic, decked out in bold red and white stripes and accented in hues of yellow and lime green (just like you might find garnishing your margarita).
All you gotta do here is waltz right up to the stand, browse what’s available, and wait for your order to appear — like magic! But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?!
Menu
Since this is a permanent snack stand, the menu here can feel a bit limited, but don’t let that stop you from taking a look around at what’s in store!
They carry a few savory snack options as well as a few non-alcoholic beverages to choose from…

…as well as (you guessed it) an impressive line of margaritas, coladas, beers, and even some wine!

And now, onto the main event — the food!
Eats
First up, we grabbed the Nachos for $5.29, which are served with cheese sauce.
We love this huge portion, especially for a little over $5. It’s an easy portion to share, but it does come with one cup of prepackaged cheese. It’s not quite our beloved plastic cheese that you can grab at Casey’s Corner in Magic Kingdom, but more of its close cousin. It had the perfect consistency — just a bit runny and great for dipping. The chips weren’t too thick or thin but had a perfect amount of crisp without tasting stale. They hold up well to the cheese and have the perfect amount of salt, especially when enjoyed with a salt-rimmed margarita.
They’ve also got one of our favorite Disney World snacks hiding here, so we knew we had to grab the Jalapeño-Stuffed Pretzel for $7.99.
We love stuffed pretzels at Disney World, and this one is no exception. There was just enough cheese inside, without all the twists and turns of the pretzels, with tiny tidbits of jalapeno cut up. It provides just enough heat to know it’s there without being overpowering. The top of the pretzel is covered in parmesan cheese with a light garlic taste, so it’s not coated in salt — that’s going to have to come from your margarita instead. The parmesan provides a light salty taste, and the whole pretzel was lovely and perfect, and a good price for the portion. We’re totally going to grab this again!
Drinks
To drink, we picked up the DOLE Whip Smoothie for $6.29. This is made with delicious Pineapple DOLE Whip.
This drink is for the win! It’s thicker than a float but not as thick as a milkshake. The sips were perfectly smooth, and the pineapple flavor was super strong throughout. We think kids and DOLE Whip lovers will be obsessed with this. There’s also a strawberry version that looked popular since everyone around us was ordering them. It’s a fun and unique drink that won’t break the bank but still feels special.
We also picked up the Patrón Disney Select Añejo Margarita for $18.50. This is made with Patrón Disney Select Barrel Añejo, Cointreau, and Sweet-and-Sour.
Hey, sweet-and-sour lovers, put this on your must-try list. The drink is very lime-forward and very sour. If you prefer the sweet side of sweet-and-sour, you might want to choose a different drink, but those who are always popping sour candies will love this. The alcohol flavor is very faint, and we enjoyed the salt rim on the outside, especially with our snacks. We’ve tried a few other margaritas here before, like the Sunshine Margarita that we have really enjoyed, and think other flavors might be more unique, but you can’t go wrong with this one either.
Nosh or Not
This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if…
- You are looking for a quick snack and drink
- You love classic snacks and both adventures and classic margaritas
- You are on the BoardWalk and want to stop somewhere before your dinner reservation
You should skip this Disney World spot if…
- You want a longer meal with more seating and larger portions
- You like more than just bar food and want more dining options for the whole family
- You don’t like specialty drinks and prefer to stick to the sodas and water
Overall
You know, I think the restaurant name is pretty accurate — these were marvelous! If you’re on the BoardWalk and are looking for a quick snack and drink, this is a perfect place to stop with options for everyone, including kids, mocktails, and alcohol free options. The snacks were delicious and matched the whole meal, which we really enjoyed. Don’t rule out this quick stop! We loved it, and you’ll probably find us here again, sipping on margaritas while watching the fireworks over EPCOT.
In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more!
