EPCOT is a virtual WELLSPRING of great restaurants, and you can literally dine around the world without ever leaving the park.
Well, we recently decided to take a jaunt across the pond (aka World Showcase Lagoon) to check out some dining in the U.K. Pavilion, so we’re inviting you to join us as we grab some traditional British fare at Rose and Crown Pub and Dining Room.
Atmosphere
As we previously stated, you’ll find Rose and Crown in the U.K. Pavilion in the World Showcase. You’ve probably noticed the pub in that pavilion, but there’s also a restaurant attached to that pub where you can dine on some British favorites.
Inside, you’ll find a cozy and inviting restaurant with lots of wood finishes and traditional British decorations. This is giving real English pub-meets-restaurant vibes that will make you feel right at home thanks to a ton of details.
Be sure to take a moment to check out some of the wall decor and knick-knacks.
This dining room also features an outdoor area, too, with great views of World Showcase Lagoon. Are you thinking what we’re thinking? Yep, this is a great place to book a reservation for later in the evening to get a great view for EPCOT’s nighttime show.
But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?
Menu
The menu here features traditional English food, including a Scotch Egg, Bangers and Mash, Fish and Chips, Shepherd’s Pie, Sticky Toffee Pudding, and more.
And now, onto the main event — the food!
Eats
First up, we ordered the Scotch Egg, This is a Golden-fried Hard-boiled Cage-free Egg wrapped in Sausage with Mustard Sauce for $15. This is CLASSIC British food. Fun fact: No one can narrow down exactly when or where the dish was invented. But who cares when it’s as tasty as this one is? It’s like breakfast that you can eat at any time. It’s hearty, it’s full of protein, and it can be shareable. It’s served cut in half, too, in case you DO want to share.
For the entree, we went with the Shepherd’s Pie. Again, another classic. This one is made with Ground Beef, Seasonal Vegetables, English Peas, and Mashed Potatoes with Irish Cheddar for $29. It’s comfort food at its finest and is a hearty entree to fill your belly with warmth.
It’s also heavy, but that’s pretty much on brand for this restaurant (in other words, be sure you bring an appetite when you visit). We’ll admit that we shared this between two people because it was a lot.
Finally, we had to order the Sticky Toffee Pudding with Custard, Caramel, and Crunchy Honeycomb Pieces for $9.50. We’re going to tell you right now…it’s good. It’s warm, it’s got that syrupy stickiness that doesn’t stick to your teeth. It’s soft and moist, but there’s a nice crunch with the honeycomb pieces. PERFECTION.
Again, though, this just added to the already heavy meal we had, so we were about ready for a nap after. Worth it, though? ABSOLUTELY. Maybe book this for a dinner over a lunch, though.
Nosh or Not
This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if…
- You’re really hungry. This is hefty food that’s going to fill your belly pretty quickly, so if you’re not hungry for a large meal, you might want to skip.
- You want a great view. Whether you just want a great view of World Showcase Lagoon or EPCOT’s nighttime show, you can get a great seat for both outside at this restaurant.
- You want an authentic English pub and restaurant vibe. This is about as authentic of a British meal you can get in Disney World, and both the food and the atmosphere will make you think you’ve traveled across the ocean.
You should skip this Disney World spot if…
- You want something quick. This is a table service restaurant, but if you’re wanting some British food quickly, head on over to Yorkshire County Fish Shop for some classic Fish and Chips instead.
- You have picky eaters in your group. There’s not a lot of variety on the menu here, so if you have a picky eater to feed, you might want to skip.
- You want a light meal. This is anything but a light meal. It’s very hearty and heavy and may leave you feeling a little weighed down after.
Overall
We’ve been fans of the Rose & Crown Pub and Dining Room for some time now because it really is a good example of great international dining within the confines of EPCOT. The experience feels real to the British experience, and the food is comforting, if a bit heavy. If that’s what you’re looking for and you arrive at Rose & Crown Pub and Dining Room, you’ve come to the right place.
In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more!

Thank goodness for real, delicious food! This restaurant is one of our favorites though we often can’t get a table….we’re not good with reservations…. so we get fish and chips at their window. I hope they never get rid of their menu except to add to it, not subtract! Yum!!
Good news V Bad News:
The Good News is the Sticky Toffee Pudding which is incredible.
The Bad News is the Rose and Crown used to be open for lunch, too, but isn’t anymore.
The photos here show that all these dishes look lovely. However, I’m English so I can see that these cheap comfort foods are heavily overpriced. I reckon for the cost of the shepherd’s pie, I could buy the ingredients and make shepherd’s pie for 16 people. This is one of the few World Showcase restaurants that I haven’t eaten at because I can’t justify that cost.
They used to make the shepherds pie with lamb once upon a time.. I miss it.
Do NOT sleep on the bangers and mash though, I had it last time I was there and oh my goodness it was amazing.
