One of the perks of the job here at Disney Food Blog is the large number of desserts we get to try all across Disney World. We’ve tried just about all of it, from ice cream to macarons to pies to the biggest slices of cakes we’ve ever seen.
We’re adding another cheesecake and cake slice to our dessert list, this time from the Cake Bake Shop Bakery at Disney’s BoardWalk. You can walk there from the International Gateway entrance in EPCOT. We had perfect fall flavors all in cake form, and you’re going to love it!
First up, we tried the Pumpkin Spice Cinnamon Roll Cake for $22.
This treat is like pumpkin bread meets the filling of a cinnamon roll. YUM! It was very sweet with lots of cinnamon flavor throughout. The cinnamon is the prominent flavor, followed by a lighter pumpkin flavor. The cake fell apart very easily, which shows how soft it was. We almost always love all the cake we get from the Cake Bake Shop Bakery, and this is no exception.
Then we had the Pumpkin Cheesecake for $18.
The cheesecake had a graham cracker crust and a dense, creamy, and smooth pumpkin cheesecake filling. It was like cheesecake meets pumpkin pie! It had the flavors of that perfect pumpkin pie with the texture that’s creamy and fluffy. The graham cracker crust holds up well, but we definitely recommend eating it with a fork and not trying to hold it for too long, like us. It added a bit of crunchy and buttery goodness to the treat.
While we’re never a fan of the prices, they’re big pieces with high-quality flavors and textures, and are a super fun treat to share with the group.

Sorry but much as I love cake, those slices are humongous!!! Filled with way too much sugar and fat. I’m amazed people don’t get sick after eating that much. And most people are not interested in sharing their food! But the big reason not to buy it is the price!!! Nobody in their right mind should pay that for a slice of cake, even that size. You’re wasting your hard-earned money while making the owner wealthy! Publix sells fantastic cake slices for $3.99….carrot is my go to flavor and one slice lasts me 2-4 heavenly servings….which is still more sugar than one should eat to stay healthy….but sometimes we just need to indulge ourselves….in moderation! I never eat at this cake shop or at Gideons, for the same reasons. But to each their own!
The slices are huge and sharable which brings the price down considerably. I love the Cake Bake Shop. We’re heading up to Disney next week and I have reservations for dinner for two. We can’t wait.
You recommend eating the cheesecake with a fork…who eats cheesecake with their fingers?! (Well, yeah, DFB do!)
