We’ve already had to say goodbye to several things in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It’s Tough To Be A Bug inside the Tree of Life closed earlier this year to make way for a new show, Zootopia: Better Zoogether, opening soon.

New cookie ice cream sandwich alert!

Dinoland, U.S.A. has been closing parts of its land in phases while Disney builds a brand-new land, Pueblo Esperanza, in its place. Oh, and Dino-Bite Snacks, along with Trilo-Bites, will be closing on October 20th. Ahead of that closure, Dino-Bites just debuted a new snack…and well, it’s so good that we’re feeling emotional at the thought of having to say goodbye to this snack kiosk. 

So Dino-Bite Snacks is known for its quality ice cream cookie sandwiches. Honestly, almost every cookie ice cream sandwich we’ve had here has knocked it out of the park. Now, ahead of its closure, you can get the Spiced Molasses Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich, made with Spiced Molasses Cookie with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and Fall Sprinkles for $8.79.

There’s an art to making a cookie that can handle a big scoop of ice cream, and Dino-Bites makes it work every single time. The cookie isn’t crunchy, but it manages to stay sturdy and chewy enough to blend perfectly with the ice cream without the ice cream ruining it. The texture is PERFECTION. Then you’ve got that rich, warm spiced molasses flavor that just makes it feel like fall…although the autumn leaf-shaped sprinkles help and add a nice crunch and extra sugary tone to each bite.

If we truly have to say goodbye to Dino-Bite Snacks, we guess this is as good a way as anything, but we do hope that these cookie ice cream sandwiches land on another menu in the park…it would be a shame if they went away for good. So, Disney, are you paying attention? (Please say yes). Grab this before Dino-Bite snacks permanently closes on October 20th.
