Disney Springs is the ultimate shopping and dining district, but when it comes to entertainment…the options are a little more limited here. But that’s changing! Back in the day (raise your hand if you remember this), Disney Springs hosted DisneyQuest and the NBA Experience, two entertainment offerings that are now defunct. So, what’s the replacement? We’re so glad you asked! Oh, and if you’re as invested as we are, you can even be part of the OPENING DAY TEAM! Dream job, anyone?
NBA Experience
We are SO ready for the new addition of Level99, which is coming to the same building where Disney’s previous entertainment offerings used to live. While there’s no official opening timeline just yet, we recently saw Disney start work on the building’s exterior, and now we’ve found ANOTHER big sign that this experience is getting closer to opening!
If you’re not familiar with Level99, this is a real-world gaming venue designed for adults, featuring over 50 mental and physical challenges. You can dive into a ninja warrior obstacle course, participate in mental logic puzzles, and more. Each challenge is short, ranging between one and four minutes, and not only can players earn rewards and climb the leaderboard, but each time they return, the game remembers where they left off! Currently, there are only three other locations: one in Natick, MA, one in Providence, RI, and the final one in Tysons, VA. But soon, another location is coming to Disney World!

Level99 in Disney Springs is now hiring for two positions for its opening day team. The first is a Director of Operations, and the second is a Venue Technician, both of which will be full-time on-site positions. The job listings detail what the ideal candidate brings to the role, and they also give us valuable information on how Disney and Level99 expect this location to operate. In the Director of Operations listing, it states that this person will be “responsible for ensuring a best-in-class customer experience for nearly 500,000 guests per year by managing daily operations of our entertainment, bar, and fast-casual food venue.” It’s also listed that this individual will lead a team of over 100 people, so we know this location will be BUSY.

If you’re interested in the Venue Technician position, Level99 lists that you’ll work closely with the “Venue Technician Lead to ensure a best-in-class gameplay experience for Level99 guests. You will work in the trenches, hands-on, to assist with the maintenance, repair, improvement, and replacement of Level99’s attractions and Entertainment facilities.” You can even check out this video they added about what a day in the life of a Venue Technician looks like — pretty cool!

Level99 also listed that the candidates chosen for these roles must be able to, or potentially willing to, train in the Greater Boston or Tysons Corner, VA areas, so that indicates to us that the inside of the new location likely still has a ways to go before it’s ready.
