Fall is often the time of year when Disney World generally announces a ton of its price increases, and well, that’s what we saw this past October.
Not only are tickets and Annual Passes getting more expensive, but parking has also gone up in price, too. We also saw price hikes for food and drinks at Disney World restaurants across the resort. That includes California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, which will get a price hike on November 7th.
California Grill, which sits at the top of the Contemporary, has gorgeous views of Seven Seas Lagoon and Magic Kingdom, including the Happily Ever After fireworks that happen each evening. The dining experience is prix fixe, with a choice of one appetizer, one entree, and one dessert.
On November 7th, this dining experience will cost more. The price will go from $89 per adult and $39 per child (ages three to nine) to $99 per adult (the child price will remain the same). The price to add an additional wine pairing to the meal has also gone up from $72 to $78.
California Grill offers one of the best views of the Magic Kingdom fireworks outside of Magic Kingdom. The restaurant even has an outside deck where you can get a better view. The restaurant dims the lights during the fireworks and pipes in the music so you can get the full Happily Ever After experience without having to crowd in on Main Street, U.S.A.
That experience, though, will soon cost more, so if you’re budgeting for a nice meal at California Grill for your next Disney World vacation, you’ll want to make a little extra room for these price hikes.

Is that plus, plus cost?
“One of the Best Disney World Restaurants”???? Hardly. Definitely used to be one of the very best at WDW. Experience now is not even close to what it used to be and there are now far better restaurants on property.
Their menu is way to restricted to pay that much.
No – the menu is way too limited to justify that cost. Bring back the larger menu and I might consider. The view is great but the food is not worth the cost even at $89.
