There are so many shoe options available for Disney World. Should you go with ones you use at home? A new pair to break in? How much cushion should it have? With all these options, it can be challenging to determine where to begin.
That’s why we’re here! We visit Disney World every day, so trust us, we know a good pair of shoes when we see one. We have tested dozens of different shoes in the parks and wanted to give you our honest thoughts on the very popular HOKAs.
The first pair is the HOKA Women’s Clifton 10 Sneaker.
These come in a variety of colors and sizes and cost about $155. Our reporter, a hardcore flip-flop wearer (yep, she usually visits the parks multiple times a week and always wears her trusty flip-flops), said that these might make her a tennis shoe believer.
The shoes are very comfortable and have a bit of bounce with each step, which is definitely what you need when walking miles on hard cement. There are numerous heel supports that offer a great fit, even for those with high arches. Even the backs of the shoes didn’t irritate our heels (and that’s a big thing for our flip-flop-loving reporter).
We think these are essential to your park day and will make your trip so much easier. The only thing we would change? The price! Don’t worry, though; if you keep following Disney Food Blog, we’re always sharing shoe discounts and Amazon sales, so you can snag them at a good price.
The second pair is the HOKA Women’s Rincon 4 Shoes.
At $160, there are fewer colors available, but multiple neutral options are still available to choose from. We loved how breathable the shoes are. Florida is notoriously humid, especially during the summer, so anytime we can find breathable shoes, we’ll love them.
While that $160 is not cheap, we think it’s worth the price due to the amount of walking you’ll be doing. Sore, blistered feet can ruin your trip and might make you want to skip out on longer lines or rides at the back of the park, so these shoes can keep you smiling all vacation long.
The shoes are comfy and breathable, and for our reporter who hates the restricted feeling, they didn’t feel it at all. The cushion provides a lot of “give” when you step down, similar to the bounce. We understand why runners like it because we feel like we go further with every step. The only issue we encountered was that the top of the shoe rubbed against our heels, but we highly recommend fully breaking in the shoes with longer socks before your first day at Disney World. That being said, we still loved the shoes — we just need to spend a little bit more time in them.
Between the two pairs, we do prefer the HOKA Clifton 10s! Both were comfortable, but the Clifton 10s were the most comfortable!!
We think both of these pairs are great options for your trip to Disney World. Yes, they’re an investment, but you can wear them back at home on longer days out, and they can fit into your workout shoe rotation. Make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for more.

Hoka’s are a good brand but they are not for everyone. My wife loves the pair she has. Unfortunately they gave me blisters just wearing them. I wasn’t even walking in them as I use a wheelchair. I recommend Brooks Adrenaline. Shoes are an investment and the best thing you can do for your feet is to go to a local running store and get properly fitted.
Do men not wear shoes at WDW? I was hoping to see a recommendation for my trip next month.
I have plantar fasciitis, arthritis and nerve damage in both feet. On advice of my podiatrist (whose entire staff wears Hokas), I purchased Hoka Bondi 9 sneakers. I didn’t want to spend that much on what I considered to be “just” sneakers, but I am so happy I did. They were comfortable from the get-go. I highly recommend them.
Way too expensive for me but I love my Rykas! Always comfy and supportive. Bought at a discount at both TJMaxx and Ross. No other sneaker comes close! And yes, I frequently wear cushiony, 1″ sole and suede footbed sandals all day with no problem….except occasionally getting too much sun on my feet! ☺ You don’t have to spend a fortune to walk all day and still feel great! Find what works for you. Have fun!
