Now, collectors are waiting for the physical release of the movie, which will be coming soon on October 14th. Not only will the Blu-Ray copy go well for anyone who likes to collect DVDs, but it will also offer exclusive deleted scenes and bonus features! Speaking of, you want to know what’s pretty FANTASTIC?! We got an early look at one of the deleted scenes that will be included.
Marvel Studios’ latest movie, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, debuted in theatres on July 25th. Even though there have been other movies based on the super family in the past, this was the first time they were a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The movie features Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon-Moss Bachrach as the Thing. Other stars include Julia Garner, John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, Sarah Niles, Ralph Ineson, and more.

The Blu-Ray copy of the movie is officially available for pre-order, and it looks to be listed at $29.99. Like we mentioned, the physical copy of the movie will hold exclusive deleted scenes, and according to IGN, there will be five of these deleted scenes, with at least one seemingly centred on Mole Man. One of those deleted scenes got released early, and we got to talk about it!

The deleted scene starts off with Vanessa Kirby’s Invisible Women heading down to Subterranea (an underground world run by Mole Man). She turns invisible as she walks past all the miners working in the city, where she then approaches Mole Man. Sue and Mole Man get into an argument before feeling her baby (Franklin) move in her stomach. There’s a little more that happens, but you should check it out for yourself! You can see it on Instagram thanks to @complex.
On top of the Blu-Ray release, there will also be boxed copies containing other special features. This would include three featurettes, a gag reel, and an audio commentary featuring director Matt Shakman and production designer Kasra Farahani, according to IGN.

Marvel fans, get hyped, because IGN stated that the following will be included in The Fantastic Four: First Steps‘ physical release:

- Subterranea
- Birthday Sweater
- Taking Turns

There is a lot of footage to be seen by fans, as director Matt Shakman previously claimed that Marvel “intentionally wrote and shot a lot more than we ended up using, or needing to use”. Some of the cut material would have shown more backstory on the group of heroes becoming the Fantastic Four. Scenes were cut due to the lengthy runtime.

“How long can we spend getting to know and love these characters in their environment? How much is too much? You never know until you start to put it together and feel it out for yourself,” Shakman said. “There was a ton of stuff we shot that was really wonderful that we didn’t use, couldn’t use.”

Over the years I’ve watched deleted scenes for many films. And they are always boring. No wonder they’ve been deleted. Outtakes, however, are another thing entirely. These are great, particularly when Pixar started added them for films starting with “A Bug’s Life”!
