We’re Disney Food Blog, and you’re watching Disney Channel!
Does that take you back to long summer days sitting on the couch with Lunchables and Disney Channel running all day? Oh, I could just picture myself watching movie after movie with my siblings. Ready for another blast of nostalgia? A popular Disney Channel movie is getting a new addition to its series.
Camp Rock 3 is officially in production. Yes, this is real, and yes, the Jonas Brothers are in it. Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas will be reprising their roles, and Demi Lovato will return as an executive producer, along with the Jonas Brothers. Filming started in Vancouver this year.
Other actors joining the cast include Liamani Egura from Desendants: Wicked Wonderland, Malachi Baron from Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires, Lumi Pollach from Electric Bloom, and a few others that we’re excited to meet. Maria Canals-Barrera from Wizards of Waverly Place will be returning to her role as Connie.
According to Deadline, the story will pick up when “Connect 3 lose their opening act for a major reunion tour, returning to their beloved Camp Rock to ride over the next big thing. As campers vie for the chance to open for their favorite band, tensions rise and friendships are tested, leading to unexpected alliances, revelations, and romances.”
Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television, says, “Camp Rock is an important part of the Disney Channel Original Movie legacy, with unforgettable music, energetic storytelling, and characters that live in the hearts of fans to this day. Bringing it back with Kevin, Joe, Nick, and DEmi is a full circle moment, and we can’t wait to reintroduce this world to a new generation.”
The original Camp Rock came out in 2008, and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam aired in 2010, so we’re thrilled this is coming back over 15 years later. It was in the Top 10 Disney Channel Original Movies, and while it doesn’t have a release date yet, make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for more information.
