On August 29th, Disney World reported a massive wave of ride closures across the property. The closures were reported in the evening, around 5 PM, and many attractions are still down at this time.

A mixture of indoor and outdoor attractions are listed as “Temporarily Closed” on the My Disney Experience app.
At this time, 32 attractions are unavailable in Disney World. Out of the 62 total attractions across Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney Springs, 32 are marked closed. According to information provided to us by @donnavivino, a widespread outage has occurred across all four theme parks. Below, you can see the lights turned on in the pre-show room at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT, indicating there was a technical issue with the attraction.

A Cast Member at the Transportation and Ticket Center confirmed that the widespread closures are due to a power outage. The Cast Member noted that there have not been any other updates on the situation at the Transportation and Ticket Center. Both Monorails are closed at this time as well.

My famliy is so sick and tired of Disney closing attractions they r taking a way the wonderful attractions that Walt Disney created we r all annual pass holders for over 30 years and WILL NOT b returning ever again dear old BOB IGER has really destroyed a lot all he cares about is his money and those stock holders when Michael Eisner was n charge it was great just like Walt Disney wanted and now that is being destroyed it’s disgusting and it was all started with a MOUSE that Walt Disney created thank u Walt Disney for those wonderful memories and god bless u and they need to bring back those original attractions it’s ok to build new but LEAVE the ORIGINALS ALONE
As a foot note when people go to Disney u need to respect all people and especially Disney cast members when someone is told they r not to do something then respect that cast member and pay attention that they r only do is their job over the years my famliy has seen verbal augments and a few times almost coming to fist fights and there is no excuse for that if u that kind of person stay out of there
