Do you have a Disney World vacation coming up?

Magic Kingdom
If you do, you’re going to want to mark your calendars for a random date in October, because Disney World’s most popular park will be closing EXTRA early! Let’s take a look at the details.
Don’t want to go through all of the stress of booking your Disney World trip alone? Reach out to our friends at Small World Vacations! Their experienced agents monitor your reservation for possible future savings, compare discounts and figure out which one works best for your travel party, dates, resort, and touring plans. And, they share expert tips and first-hand advice with you about your magical vacation.
Get out your Disney vacation calendars, and circle October 21st! On that day, Magic Kingdom will be closing at 6 PM. There is no Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party night on October 21st, so what will be causing the early closure?

Disney World
The early closure is likely due to a private event related to the Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo. The annual tech conference is in Orlando for the weekend, and the company has been known to visit Disney World for special after-hours events at the park (as in a full park buyout), causing the 6 PM closing time.

The private event typically includes exclusive access to select attractions, complimentary food and beverages, and entertainment — we wish we could join in for the fun!

Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom will still have its early entry at 8:30 AM for hotel guests, and its usual 9 AM opening. If you want to visit the park on that day, consider getting Park Hopper tickets. That way, you can hop over to another Disney World park once Magic Kingdom closes.
